Weekly Wrap Up

Let’s just jump in, shall we?  As if 3 months hadn’t passed…..

This week:

I (finally) jumped into 2016 and upgraded to an iPhone.  First thing my sister said was “download Neko Atsume immediately”.  I’m in love with the kitties!  Obsessed with the kitties!  Games that are adorable and require very little from me are high on my list of good times.

A few Mardi Gras pieces yet to finish up, a complete over-haul of the studio (I hope) and a new online shop are all on the horizon.

Happy Friday–weekend here I come!  (after I finish this stack of orders….)

Mardi Gras Shoot

After a long (looooooooong) and unintentional blog-hiatus, I’m back!

Really, that was a long time to be away.

Blame instagram–it’s so much easier to post a picture with a one-liner, and go about my merry way.

Also:  business has been pretty kick ass since before Halloween, and I’ve been busy sewing (and upgrading my studio).

I figured some images from a Mardi Gras themed shoot I did this week would be in order for my first post back in this cob-web-filled space.

These are just images that I took–I’m anxiously (yet patiently) waiting for the final edits from Underexposed Photography, whom you’ll recognize from past shoots.

TnT Tuesday

I’m rolling out the Trapped In Time Tuesday feature again, folks.  Since it’s officially carnival time in these parts, I figured what better way to start than with a Mardi Gras accessory.

Image

This is a tulle boa, made from strips of tulle that I cut and sewed individually to a sturdy center strip.

Image

It has layers and layers of tulle sewn on both sides and is pretty fabulous, if I do say so myself.

You can find it in the etsy shop here:  https://www.etsy.com/listing/127893659/boa-mardi-gras-boa-mardi-gras?ref=shop_home_active_7

Again

Another sneak peek–I can’t help it!  Photographers keep sending me awesome images that I want to share!

This one is from a shoot that I loaned some items out for.

Bit of a Mardi Gras theme, and I can’t wait to see more!

Drive By

Mardi Gras was great.  A little more low key for me–dreary sky, drizzling clouds, chilly weather and an early call (we had to be at our spot at 7am–with an hour drive to get there). But, I got to catch beads, and visit with family and friends and eat my weight in fabulous food (that I didn’t have to cook).  All in all, good times.

Now, it’s back to work!
