Wow, halfway through the week already.
Once again time for my favorite Pinterest finds!
But first–GUESS WHAT! I’m on instagram! FINALLY.
You can pop over and find me there much more regularly than here or even facebook–I’m loving it!

And, I’ll just put this right here, too. I have no words, I think many of us are still rather shattered, and I can only wish peace for his family and the ultimate quiet of those inner demons for him.
I’m a little under the weather today, and fuzzy in the head from lack of sleep, so I thought I’d share some of my favorite things that I’ve found on Etsy lately. I know Etsy has been flooded with mass-produced and overseas junk lately, and I’ve heard a lot of grumbling about it. But, if you spend just a little extra time (and use “handmade” as a search term), you can still support artisans and artists like myself! (and get a kick ass, unique product at the same time)
Jinkx Monsoon as Little Edie a’la RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5–by ChadSellComics
Flower Garden Bee Ring–by Kira Ferrer. I have a pair of earrings from this shop that I wear at least 4 days a week–beautiful craftsmanship, and a fabulous shop!
“Kimi” by CheeseBeforeBedtime. I absolutely love the idea of embroidery on canvas. One of those “Now, why didn’t I think of THAT?” ideas. Thank god for creative folk!
Colour it yourself screenprint art by Summersville. I love to color–I always have. This strikes both the kid and the adult in me!
Fox Necklace by KapKaDesigns. I just found this today, and had to share!
Copper Magnifying Glass by Bayou Glass Arts. I LOVE THESE! These are made by a friend of mine, and I’ve used them in shows, as well as gifted a few of her items to family. I have a number of her pieces and love each one–so much to love in her shop!
Bohemian Feathers by Joanna Jagoda. I have this pair, actually–that’s how much I love them! Jagoda’s shop is packed full of fabulous, and I have 5 of her pieces–love them all!
“Sarah” by tushtush. I have a special love of portraits of women, and this one would be such a great addition to my collection. Really, I’m not sure why I haven’t ordered it already…
I thought I’d share a favorite find of mine on Friday’s. A mini celebration in honor of the weekend.
My first favorite find is a pair of earrings that I ordered on etsy almost FIVE (!!!) years ago. Oh my gosh, has it really been that long? Wow. Time flies.
Anyway, I give you the sea anemone earrings:
I wear these earrings almost every day–they are totally my go-to pair for my first holes (I have multiple ear piercings) and I just love them so much! I am constantly getting compliments on them, and have sent many a person to the etsy shop I purchased them from. I hope that translated into some sales for her, because her shop is so, so, so wonderful!
It looks like she still makes a sea anemone earring, though has changed the look a bit. Still wonderful, though! You can find them here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/73494291/sea-anemone-sterling-silver-earrings?ref=shop_home_active
Heck, just go check out her shop, Kira Ferrer Jewelry Design here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/KiraFerrer
Those stackable rings are calling my name…..and the turquoise statement ring? YES PLEASE.
Apologies all around (once again). Things have been so busy around here, my poor little corner of the web has been severely neglected.
Custom work has continued to roll in, it’s the time of year to get my vegetable garden in order, I’m working on a number of collaborative projects, and all the rest of life’s daily routine.
I’m really just sneaking in today to share some images of a recent photo shoot I did for a friend of mine who designs some of the most lovely and unique jewelry around. You can find her shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/BayouGlassArts
I got to play photographer, took the beautiful NancyJane (http://www.modelmayhem.com/2403245) and high-tailed it out to the lakefront.
It was a blast–though, I do wish the sun had made an appearance. The resulting images, I think, turned out quite well. Of course, as I keep telling people–it doesn’t take much skill to get good pictures of a gorgeous model wearing beautiful jewelry!
